Shanghai Trips Edited

We were married on January 18th and left for our first Shanghai trip together 8 days later!  This first trip was to get "a lay of the land" and learn about different neighbors, cuisine, and general life in Shanghai. We later took another trip on March 16th to choose our apartment!  Here are some favorite photos from the trips!

JANUARY:

Pudong Skyline - cold in January!

Chinese New Year was only a week away when we were visiting.

Buildings were decorated for the festivities - very pretty :)

MARCH:  

Us and the Puxi Skyline.

Pudong means "East" and Puxi means "West" so....east or west of the Huangpu River.

This was three days after 18,000 dead pigs were found in the river.....

Art or Reality???

The center building behind the statues is the Shanghai World Financial Center 

aka 'The Can Opener' building.  It has the tallest observation tower in the world!

So of course we had to check it out!

We had a great trip and are both excited to move into our new international apartment!
