Moving Day!

The day was here and it was officially time to move to Shanghai!  

STATS ON THE MOVE & LOGISTICS

Number of pieces of luggage:  13

(8 Tupperware Containers, 3 Suitcases, 2 Backpacks)

 

The tupperware came from the suggestion of other coworkers who had already relocated.....it's great!

You don't have to buy several pieces of expensive luggage, it stacks to store, you can re-use, but just be sure to tape it up like crazy!

Number of vans needed to take us and luggage to LAX:  1

Number of people to help us at the airport:  1 United Skycap = necessary!

Number of drinks before flying:  2

 Number of movies watched on plane:  4 for Di and 7 for Brandon - all in a row!

Number of people to help with luggage in baggage claim:  2 (plus Di & B)

Number of carts needed for luggage:  2

Number of tupperware scanned by customs (we told them only clothes, I was sweatin' it!):  2

Number of drivers waiting our arrival:  2

Number of people to get our luggage to the vans:  4 (plus Di & B)

Number of bags opened by TSA or China Customs:  0 !!!!!

We arrived to our new apartment around 8:30pm Sunday night.  We were exhausted but so grateful everything worked out.  I had been a ball of anxiety all day!  We arrived to MORE boxes in the apartment:  air purifiers, welcome baskets, dishware, silverware......all part of the living package for the apartment negotiated by Disney.

Now we await our ocean shipment to arrive.....I just hope they don't take my mac-n-cheese.....
