First Haircut for Di !

Almost four months here in Shanghai and it was time for a haircut!  Nothing major, just needed a good trim to get all the dead ends off and some new layers.  A friend of mine, Rebecca, recommended a salon over in the French Concession.  She introduced me to her stylist, Sky, the week before so I made an appointment and visited him today.  The best part.....when you get your hair washed, it's like a 15min affair with head and neck massage included!  It was very relaxing until the guy washing my hair started really rubbing my head and told me, "you have a very round head....very, very nice!"  Um....okay, just rinse my hair please!

Sky was great and spoke English pretty well.  We chatted about Harbin where he is from - B and I plan to go visit there because they have a very famous ice festival!  He asked what I did and I told him I worked for Disney; he didn't know what that was.....I tried to explain Mickey Mouse and he didn't know what that was.....Funny because I know 4 other people that use him and we all work for Disney!  Oh well.....

The main window of the salon sits right on the street.  There is a famous shot of Rebecca getting color with foil all in her hair that her friends took of her while she was with Sky.....so when Brandon walked by while waiting on me, he had to take one too!  Sky laughed and thought it was funny telling me Rebecca was really mad when it happened to her!

All around good experience, and comparable prices to what I pay in LA - will definitely go again!
