I'm really trying here to keep the blog updated but.....when your laptop hard drive fails, that tends to throw a road block in the way! Good thing I had everything backed up and Apple makes it so easy to do that!
I've had my MacBook Pro for three years (in May); and three years is the typical life span of a hard drive. Luckily, when we (daddy) purchased this laptop, we opted for the AppleCare Protection Plan and was very lucky that it doesn't expire until May of this year! This meant, I walked into the Apple store, told them my symptoms, they hooked up my computer to their system, determined the hard drive was failing, kept the computer and a week later, I have a brand new hard drive! And....since they didn't make my hard drive anymore, I got upgraded! Major score! And for $0.00!!!
When I picked it up, I also asked about my charging cord - can't be a good sign when the cord innards are frayed out in the open! Plus, giggling it and getting it in "just right" location to charge was beginning to get very annoying - well, they replaced it too! I walked out of the store with a brand new system for $0!
Here's to another three years!! Wahoo!!!
