Not so home"y" but it did work for the couple of months I was there - some CHARACTERS do indeed live there though!Within the first three minutes of our arrival, I was greeted by a drunk, over-the-top lady who I swear could've been an out of work actress. As I checked into the room, she told me (through slurs) she's lived at the hotel for over two years and all the guys who work behind the desk have been her "protectors." Mind you they are all 21 and younger..... She the proceeded outside for a smoke where Mom saw her almost fall flat on her face from trying to situate herself onto a bench. Geez Louise! I only saw her a couple of other times, never sober ;)
Later, we went grocery shopping. When we arrived back at the hotel, there was a large bus out front so we parked in the back parking lot. As we neared the room, the hallway was flooded with little, old Chinese women, wheeling their grocery carts up and down trying to understand the room numbers. One ended up a couple of rooms down and kept her door cracked - everytime she heard someone in the hallway she would peek out and giggle - happened several times - harmless, but funny :)
Here's the hotel:
