Christmas 2011

B and I must have been a good little boy and girl this year!  We've never had this much stuff in our apartment!  :)

I LOVE our apartment at Christmas time - maybe I'm just biased because I have some really fun decorations :)

Found these little guys at Target with Mom!  Adorable!

Two of my loves :)

And Miss Manny dressed up for the holidays....

And how my chicken tree is growing!  Might need to upgrade to a larger tree soon!

While Mom was in town, we of course had to do a craft project!
I had been wanting a burlap wreath that I could keep in the hallway year round and change out the decor.  Here's our awesome crafty work!

LOVE!  Thanks Mom!
And our neighbor, Don, decks out the hallway each year too - here it is this year:

This guy's been out since Halloween - guess he'll become year round decor as well!

Twas' the night before Christmas and all through the house......
B getting ready for Santa!

Milk and biscotti - fancy!

I asked B how Santa would get in since we don't have a fireplace - this was his response:

Oh how I love him!  Makes me laugh and smile everyday :)

Christmas morning we woke up and in the tradition of every Christmas in the Bibee household, I made Mom's cheese grits!  So yummy!!!

What a sight - mismatched pjs and an apron ;)
While the grits baked, we open presents!

B's first present was a little semi-gag gift:

Me catching the bouquet!  he he he he :)
I in return opened my first present:

He said I could consider it my semi-gag gift too.
Must be true love when you're happy to receive an appliance :)

Hooray!  A yoga mat!

B with his favorite chocolate orange and NYC Vinylmation!

And for his surprise.....

... a Harley Davidson "hog" bank!
Loves it!

After we opened our presents (and got the grits out of the oven), we Skyped with Mom and Dad and opened more presents together!  Have to say it worked pretty well!  When we finished, we grab the second pan of grits and headed out the door to Michelle's house for Christmas.  She and her family invited us over for lunch since we couldn't go home this year.  It was fun and interesting!  They are Filipino and had some interesting food - like quails egg in soup!  I gave mine to Sean, Michelle's husband :)  I put my grits amongst the rest of the food and hardly anyone touched it!  They couldn't really understand what they were!  ha ha ha!  Michelle's mom, however, loved them - she said she'd eat anything with butter and cheese :)

We came home and relaxed for the rest of the day since B had to work today.  And I.....I cleaned up all the decorations and presents!  We put them up on Thanksgiving and as much as I love the decor, I was ready for them to go away and get back our extra room in the apartment!  :)

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
